Junior High Assistant Coach
Robert S. "Bobby" Vickery Is working with Coach Taylor to help coach the Junior Varsity Football Team this year. He and his family have proudly been involved with Holy spirit for four years. Mr. Vickery has two sons, Andrew (10th Grade) and Alex (6th Grade). Both Andrew and Alex play football for the Cougars.
Mr. Vickery has been coaching organized football and baseball continuously over the last ten years. He has spent considerable time with the City of Roswell Recreation Department, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church Upward Program, Mount Bethel Youth Sports Program and Holy Spirit Preparatory School. Mr. Vickery was an assistant coach with the Holy Spirit Junior Varsity Football Team during the 2011 campaign.
Mr. Vickery grew up in Cobb County Georgia and went to Campbell High School in Smyrna. He later attended college at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) and Georgia Tech, and has degrees in Mathematics and Civil Engineering. Mr. Vickery works for a California based engineering company specializing in the construction of roads and bridges.
The love Mr. Vickery has for football came at a very young age. His father played pro-football for the Chicago Bears in the late 1950's. As a young kid, he would watch games with his dad and idolized Gale Sayers, Jim Brown and Joe Namath. His passion grew as he played organized football every year growing up.
Mr. Vickery is dedicated to the betterment of the Holy Spirit Prep football program and to the development of our young men.
