Fr. Jason Brooks
Assistant Coach - Defensive Ends
Fr. Jason Brooks grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His parents raised him and his younger sister in the Catholic faith, although they never
attended Catholic schools. After graduating from Wauwatosa East High
School in 1991—where he played football, basketball, and golf—Fr. Jason attended
Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin. He started on the football team and
majored in biology. Fr. Jason wanted to teach and coach after college, and he always thought he would get married. That all changed during his sophomore year, when he felt called to the priesthood for the first time.
After discerning that God was calling him to be a missionary, the owner of a Catholic bookstore told him to call the Legionaries of Christ. He ended up leaving Ripon after his junior year and joined the Legion of Christ in June of 1994. He was ordained a priest at the Church of St. Mary Major in Rome on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 25), 2004. Before coming to Atlanta, Fr. Jason served as the chaplain of the Lumen Institute in Chicago, where he had been
studying and working since 2003.
Currently, Father Jason resides in the Atlanta, GA LC community where he serves as the Head Chaplain at Holy Spirit Preparatory School.
