Assistant Coach - Wide Receivers
I am Tyjuan McFadden, Wide Receivers Coach for the Holy Spirit Cougars. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I was raised by my wonderful mother, Thelma Torres and my father, Tyrone McFadden.
I played varsity football at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, where we went undefeated my senior year. Our 13-0 record led us to win the State Championship in 2006. That same year, I was awarded the "Unsung Hero" Award for making big plays throughout the season.
That year my High School became #1 nationally by beating South Lake Carol High School out of Houston, Texas. From there, I earned a four year football scholarship to attend Morehouse College. We went 10-1, thus making the playoffs for the first time in Morehouse College History.
From there, I had a great opportunity to showcase my talents at the University of Miami Pro-Day where I performed in front of all 32 NFL teams. A year later, I was granted an opportunity to workout for the Atlanta Falcons.
Football is in my blood, and it is what I love to do. Whether playing the game or teaching the game, my goal is not only to instill football knowledge, but to instill life lessons.
